Old school decor, quirky type pub Good atmosphere Friendly staff Plenty of selection on drinks selection Great bar snacks the crisps are fabulous not the usual type you get most places. Personally I love these type of pubs and hate the soulless new type places This place has plenty of character And bags full of history And I'm all for supporting local pubs.

8 of us In the area for a wedding, we ended up in the Ship Inn and got there just in time for karaoke. The staff and locals were very friendly. Good choice of beers and very reasonable prices. We had a great night, and we apologise for our terrible signing. 😂😂

We stopped at this pub with our two border collies and we were delighted that we could take them into the garden. Lovely bar staff were friendly, chatty and smiley! What a pretty garden they have made, with pots of flowers, hanging baskets, and an effusion of colour and summer! We will be back!

This really is one of the best pubs in the area. Small and unassuming from the outside, it is warm and cosy inside and always immaculate. The landlord and landlady are really great people and they keep their well-priced beer well. They run open mic and Karaoke nights and have been known to take part themselves.

Went in on Sunday for a Sunday lunch with my husband. We we're warmly met by the landlord and enjoyed having a warm by the real open fire. The pub had a lovely atmosphere & was very clean & homely. We were shown through to the dining room & picked a table in the sunshine. We we're served by two lovely young ladies who were very polite & took our order. We both chose the three meat sunday lunch which included roast beef, pork and chicken served with roast potatoes, 2 Yorkshire pudding, carrots, swede, broccoli & mushy peas & gravy served in a boat on the side & a pot of tea. It was all home cooked with fresh vegetables & beautifully presented & it tasted delicious. It was extteextr good value for money at £6.50 for the dinner & £1 for a pot of tea. Although we didn't have one the choice of desserts was fantastic and all only £2.50. I can't recommend this place enough. Well worth a visit & excellent value for money.
